History: | Harkening back to the early 1300s Italy, the Allegoria del Buon Governo Tapestry depict a peaceful gathering of city officials and citizens. Taken from a triad of frescoes (The Allegory of Good and Bad Government) by Italian artist Ambrogio Lorenzetti of the Sienese school, the council hall of Sienna is immortalized to remind elected offices of their responsibilities to community and country. This Italian-made wall hanging brings a touch of 14th century art and intrigue to the home or office. The jacquard weave is constructed from soft viscose, cotton and polyester. The wall tapestry features a lined back and tunnel edge at top for easy hanging. Imported from Italy. |
