History: | Lucas is a Belgian made jacquard woven wall tapestry. The design comes from a tapestry from the Renaissance period and represents the month of January. It belongs to a series of tapestries called The Lucas Months. It was woven in Brussels in 1535 and copied by the Manufacturede Gobelins in 1688. This tapestry is presently shown at the Metropolitan Museum.
